The Japanese Buckwheat Experience – A Buckwheat Workshop conducted by Mr. Atsuhiro Goto, Representative Director of General Incorporated Association Farmers Management Inc, Hokkaido, Japan.

 

"Entrepreneurship with Buckwheat Bioresources" – A Buckwheat Workshop conducted by our expert Prof. N. K. Chrungoo, President of International Buckwheat Research Association.

The ceremony was held in the presence of Honourable Chief Guest, Shri. Pyniaid Sing Syiem, Hon'ble Member of Meghalaya Legislative, Ms. Kyoko Hokugo Minister of Economic & Development, Embassy of Japan, Mr. Ikko Watanabe First Secretary Food & Agriculture, Embassy of Japan, Mr. Jun Watanabe Deputy Chief Representative, JICA India, Shri K.N Kumar, Chairman of Meghalaya Farmers' Empowerment Commission. Other esteemed dignitaries present at the event were Shri B. K. Sohliya, Mr. Atsuhiro Goto, Prof. N. K. Chrungoo, Shri T. K Razdan, Smt. Gunjan Goela, Shri Sanjay Thakur, Shri Vijay Kumar, Chef Joel Basumatari along with Buckwheat farmers, other entrepreneurs, and visitors from parts of Meghalaya and beyond.

Live Demo Session exclusively conducted by the North East India Chef Association (NEICA) at the Meghalaya Buckwheat Global Showcase 2022.

Mr. Atsuhiro Goto and his team from Farm Yukino along with assistance from the KVK team conducted a Live Cooking Demo Session using authentic Soba (Buckwheat) Noodles from Japan on Day 1 of the Meghalaya Buckwheat Global Showcase 2022.

Farmers Speak Talk Show - An interactive session of Buckwheat Farmers of Meghalaya with Buckwheat Experts. Led by our hosts Dr. Lashai Dohtung, Senior Technical Assistant Meghalaya Farmers' Empowerment Commission and Shri Baiashanlang Syiemlieh Farm Manager, KVK East Khasi Hills, Upper Shillong and a panelist of Buckwheat Farmers.

Session on pairing of local fruit wines & Buckwheat cuisine with Mr. Gaurav Thapar - an orientation program exclusively conducted by the Bangalore-based wine & spirits consultant & educator.
