As part of the attachment of the newly recruited MCS officers to the MFEC, a day long programme of interaction and learning was organised by the MFEC to sensitise the new officers to the potentials, realities and issues of the primary sector. The occasion was marked by informative sessions from the top performing experts of the departments of Fisheries, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary, KVKs and Dairy. The most gripping sessions were however the lively interactions of the new officers with farmers under the banner of the Hills Farmers Union and with local budding agripreneurs. The event was also blessed by the dynamic presence and inspiring words of Smti Trinity Saioo, Padma Shri awardee.
