Meghalaya Fruit Wines showcased at Vinexpo Delhi 2023

06 December 2023 : At Vinexpo India 2023, the spotlight shone on the captivating journey from farm to bottle as the Meghalaya Farmers Empowerment Commission curated the Meghalaya Fruit Wine Pavilion. This curated showcase, within one of the world’s largest wine and spirit exhibitions, highlights exquisite fruit wines, empowering local winemakers and farmers.

07 December 2023 : Vinexpo 2023 was graced by the distinguished presence of various international delegations, where the Meghalaya Farmers Empowerment Commission showcased the Fruit Wine Pavilion in order to empower our local fruit wine farmers and local fruit wine entrepreneurs.

07 December 2023 : The Fruit Wine Pavilion curated by the Meghalaya Farmers’ Empowerment Commission to empower the local fruit farmers and uplift the local wine entrepreneurs by showcasing their products at the Vinexpo India 2023 one of the biggest wine and spirits exhibition of the world, saw an amazing response from the visitors coming for tasting of the sample wines.

08 December 2023: The Master Class on Farm to Bottle explaining the journey the fruit wines native to the state of Meghalaya saw an over whelming response from the attendees of the Master Class conducted by Shri B K Sohliya and Priyanka Save.

09 December 2023: The Fruit Wines from Meghalaya were delightfully cherished by the visitors and delegates from different countries at the @vinexpo.india

09 December 2023: The Meghalaya Khasi Mandarin Honey was highly praised and appreciated for its uniqueness and great potential of being turned into meads in the near future opening new avenues for both aspiring wine makers as well as honey producers in the state.

09 December 2023: The Vinexpo 2023 ended on high note with a lot of appreciation for the local fruit wines from Meghalaya and a new future ahead for this promising industry where the local fruit farmers will play a vital role in the success of it. Together with the Farmers and Wine Makers we are on the journey to make Meghalaya the Fruit Wine Capital of the Country.

Shri B.K Sohliya, Executive Adviser, Meghalaya Farmers’ (Empowerment) Commission and Shri Pyniaid S Syiem, Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council on a round around the SIAL Delhi Exhibition at India International Covention and Exhibition Centre at Delhi as they explored pavilions from other state and countries showcasing food and beverages.
