Hon'ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya Shri. Conrad K Sangma inaugurated Meghalaya's First Jackfruit Techno Incubation Centre at IHM Shillong under Mission Jackfruit in the presence of Shri. Pyniaid Sing Syiem, Hon'ble Member of Meghalaya Legislative and other dignitaries on 24th May 2022. The programme was jointly organized by the Directorate of Food Processing and Institute of Hotel Management, Shillong with the support of the Meghalaya Farmers’ (Empowerment) Commission, to introduce to the world a centre of excellence, innovation and incubation for would be jackfruit entrepreneurs through the development of high value jackfruit products, whilst fulfilling Mission Jackfruit's vision of empowering and improving sustainable livelihoods for our farmers.
