Glimpses from the field visit of the Chairman and Exec Adviser, MFEC to the ICAR-IISR, Regional station, Appangala Madikeri, on the 11th March 2024 to explore the potential of introducing high value tree and nut spices like nutmeg, cloves, Sri Lankan Cinnamon, Small Cardamom etc into Meghalaya. The visit was also to work out modalities of classifying Meghalaya's Long Pepper and for obtaining licenses for recent releases of improved Black Pepper varieties for Meghalaya and post harvest processing equipment.
