Collaborative Integrated Health Mela held at Laitmawsiang Village

The Health Mela at Laitmawsiang Village,Organised by Meghalaya Farmers (Empowerment) Commission and Dr.H Gordon Robert’s Hospital in collaboration with North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences saw an overwhelming response of attendees coming across from the Laitmawsiang and nearby villages to avail the benefits of various health camps at the Health Mela.

Highlights from the Collaborative Integrated Health Mela held at Laitmawsiang Village on 10th October organized by the Dr. H. G. Roberts Hospital, as part of its Centennial Jubilee celebrations, wherein the Meghalaya Farmers' (Empowerment) Commission partnered with the Hospital and the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Services (NEIGRIMS) to pilot preventive health care screening for the rural and farming community as part of its Farmer First initiative. The event also witnessed the first of its kind introduction, in the state, of a revolutionary portable examination platform "Clinic in a Bag / Clinic Without Walls" solution by Rijuven Medicare India Pvt Ltd, which has the potential to bring remote diagnostic and medical testing facilities to our state's rural and underserved communities. The Health Mela witnessed an extremely good response with 971 patients registered and screened.
