Modernisation of Beekeeping: While most farmers in Meghalaya still rely on traditional beekeeping, which is still insufficient and not particularly hygienic, modern beekeeping techniques can help farmers make more money and add more value to their operations. The management of the colonies including the multiplication of bee colonies and use of various beekeeping tools was covered in the session.
