Modernisation of Beekeeping: While most farmers in Meghalaya still rely on traditional beekeeping, which is still insufficient and not particularly hygienic, modern beekeeping techniques can help farmers make more money and add more value to their operations. The management of the colonies is thus covered in the session, which is crucial for farmers. Theories and Practical sessions included the use of various beekeeping tools , installing rectangular frames inside beehives and cleaning beehives before the introduction of bees.
